This site is a great example of creating a
large water garden within the confines of a typical suburban backyard.
It was completed in the spring of 2002 and is made up of two ponds
and a stream that occupy a significant portion of the yard. A cedar deck and paver patio
create an inviting atmosphere and provide great places to view the
garden. Additional sitting areas draw you into the setting and allow
you to watch the Koi up close. The site is also accented by lush
plantings, large boulders, iron fencing, a cedar privacy wall, and aquatic
plants.
This water garden includes:
- one 9' x 11' pond - 3' deep
- one 18' x 30' pond - 4' deep
- a 30' stream
- three major waterfalls
- two skimmers, pumps, and Biofalls
- a paver patio and stone sitting areas
- a large cedar deck
- considerable plantings
- large boulders and boulder walls
- a stainless steel sculpture
